74 BIRCH ST, WORCESTER, MA and A "BOAT" LOAD OF STUFF

First, I made lists. Clean, dust, eliminate junk, weed out clothes, do Tae Bo, return towel Ginge had left on Nantucket four moves ago. Lists don't always work. Even though Dave had taken an overloaded U-Haul trailer crammed with stuff out to Colorado and flew back to drive out with me and I had shipped boxes with UPS while he was gone, there was still more stuff. That makes you do crazy things. Like asking a guy hanging out next door if he wants a TV...a computer...and a bed. So we started our trip in a stuffed Corolla late on Saturday, 26 June 1999. It was about an hour away from sunset when we approached Hartford, Conn. on Interstate 84. We were so close we had to stop and see our friends Mark and Kathy who had made a big change of their own this year. They decided to move from New Hampshire and buy a horse farm that had belonged to Mark's great uncle. On top of learning about horses, they undertook a major remodeling project of the farmhouse. The Dude was a big hit with their neighbor Ralph, as he was on the rest of the trip. Just before we left, a blue heron flew over the porch where we were sitting. A neighbor said that was good luck.CONTINUE PLEASE
